AP Archive is the moving image collection of the Associated Press. Our extensive database currently holds over 500,000 video news stories from 1896 to present day. With a wide variety of international footage covering everything from news, entertainment, sports and major events, we can provide the footage you want in your production.
In order to view video clips on the AP Archive Web site, you must first register as a user.
If you have a registered account on the old AP Archive Web site, then your account details (delivery and accounting department addresses, saved searches, folders and account history) will be accessible from this site as well.
If you are a registered user of another Associated Press Web site, then you can add this Web site to your account by following the transfer account instructions at the top of the User Registration page.
Due to AP business practices, there is no content within the Archive that is less than 48 hours old.
