"We cook as a family. There is one tradition that I'll never get to do again because in my hometown on New Year's Eve, they make a fake man with clothes and everything, and they stuff it with fireworks. And at midnight, the whole town has like a competition – outside of the house, everybody is burning the old man, representing the old year. And I remember this tradition very clearly because it was so loud and so scary. But I always remember it with a smile in my heart."

"Family time. Just family time. As long as I get family time, I can deal with anything else."
3. SOUNDBITE (English) Keala Settle, actress:
"One of the biggest holiday traditions for us is making fudge because as a family, we used to always get involved. Everyone had their own specific job, even down to getting the baking sheets prepared and melting whatever ingredients you use. It was the one time that we were able to gather together as a family and putting things together and having a great time."
4. SOUNDBITE (English) Adam Scott, actor:
"My kids still believe in Santa Claus, which is great because they are getting to that like cresting over into not believing anymore, but they're still hanging on. So I feel like this is our last real Christmas with the stockings and the whole illusion. So I think it will be a special one."

5. SOUNDBITE (English) Miranda Cosgrove, actress:
"I have a dog that's five years old. Her name's Penelope. I actually got her for Christmas five years ago. And my mom, our new tradition is my mom gets her a bunch of gifts and puts them under the Christmas tree and she knows from past experience that in the bags that there are dog toys. So, my mom has her all prepared to get excited when she sees them. And, yeah, so my mom has all these gifts ready for her and she's going to put them out and in the morning we're going to watch her open them. So, it's just funny. I'm sure she's going to be happy."
