Looking to boost his charity's revenues, Yao Ming has managed to gather a cluster of NBA players together in Beijing for a match against the Chinese national team on July the 1st.

SCRIPTING INFORMATION:

The location will be the venue which hosted the Olympic basketball in 2008.

The date - July the 1st.

The protagonists will be an NBA select team - and the Chinese national side.

And we even know the winner - the Yao Foundation.

The children's charity founded by Yao Ming has benefited since 2007 from games organised by the former Houston Rockets centre.

Steve Nash was instrumental in the inaugural fixture - the second one was staged in Taipei in 2010 with the participation of Jeremy Lin.

As for 2013, six NBA men are in China to play for the Yao Foundation team.

Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, used to be a team-mate of Yao's in Houston.

The remainder are Joakim Noah, the Chicago Bulls centre; Kyle Lowry, George Hill, Luis Scola and Tracy McGrady.

China will no doubt also be using the match as preparation for the 2013 FIBA Asian Championships to be played in Manila in early August.
