Trent Bridge, Nottingham, England, UK. 22nd August 2018.
1. 00:00 India head coach Ravi Shastri enters the news conference
2. 00:09 SOUNDBITE (English): Ravi Shastri, India head coach:
(about bouncing back after losing the first two Tests of the series)
"We ran England close in the first Test match. We were blown away at Lord's, so we needed to prove a point. All I asked the boys was to give me some accountability and they were simply magnificent in all three departments of the game. As a head coach I can't ask for more. I'm just proud of the guys, the way they stood up, came out here and played."
3. 00:37 SOUNDBITE (English): Ravi Shastri, India head coach:
(about whether this is India's best win since he's been head coach)
"In the four years I have been doing this job, I think if you look at a clinical performance overseas, I think this has to be the best. South Africa was gutsy, it was a nasty track, you won in Johannesburg, but this was clinical. When you look at all three departments, they stood up. As a batting unit, as a catching unit in the field and as a bowling unit, so you can't ask for anything more."
4. 01:13 SOUNDBITE (English): Ravi Shastri, India head coach:
(about where the series is positioned after the third Test)
"We've won just a Test match. There is still a series to be played. The bottom line with this team, like I said before the start of this Test match, there isn't a negative bone in the body, because they believe they can win anywhere in the world. The endeavour of this team is to be the best travelling team in the world and I believe we are almost there. India, we know what we can do in India, especially if we play in conditions that suit us very few teams will have a sniff. To go to South Africa, to go to England, to go to Australia and try to win there, Test matches there, that is the endeavour of this cricket team and they have it in them."
5. 01:56 SOUNDBITE (English): Ravi Shastri, India head coach:
(about what he told his batsmen to help them turn their form around)
"Mental discipline. Get tough mentally. You're going to look ugly, you're going to have to leave a lot of balls. There's no shortcut. You have to grind the opposition down when they have (Stuart) Broad and (James) Anderson, with close to 1,000 wickets between them, playing in their conditions, there is no shortcut. I don't care who the batsmen are, you've got to tell yourself 'If I need hundred I'm going to have to bat five hours... five or six hours if I have to get a hundred'. So you challenge yourself to bat those five, six hours, not one or two hours."

7. 02:59 England captain Joe Root enters the news conference
8. 03:08 SOUNDBITE (English): Joe Root, England captain:
(about England's first innings batting collapse)
"It's happened on a couple of occasions, it's obviously not good enough in this format. For the group of players that we've got, it's well below par on what we are capable of doing, even if it is bowler friendly conditions. So, (in the second innings we) reverted back to a few things that have worked well for us in the past and now we have to carry that forward and do it for long periods of time."
9. 03:35 SOUNDBITE (English): Joe Root, England captain:
(about where the series is positioned after the third Test)
"We're definitely in the driving seat as far as the series goes. We have to keep on remembering that. We have got a little bit of time now to go away and reflect on what has been a difficult week. But in England we are a very good side at bouncing back from a tough couple of days. One thing you can never question about this group of players is their character and the way they can respond to a difficult period or passage of play."
10. 04:09 SOUNDBITE (English): Joe Root, England captain:
(about Jonny Bairstow's fitness)
"It's very early days in terms of... it was a small fracture at the top of his finger. We'll have to see how that settles down over time. We have got a bit of time until that next game, so we can assess that later down the line. He's a world class batter in good form and of course will warrant his place within the side as a batter. In terms of (wicket) keeping, we are very fortunate to have Jos (Buttler) in the team already and it would make things easy in terms of him stepping into that role."
11. 04:50 SOUNDBITE (English): Joe Root, England captain:
(about his own form with the bat)
"I know what I'm capable of doing. I don't feel as if I'm 'Bambi on ice' or anything. I'm determined to get things right at Southampton. But ultimately you've got to earn the right, get in, lay a platform to then go on and make big scores. Again, you chuck that in to some difficult conditions and an Indian side that's performed very well this week, if you're quite realistic about things, which I try to be. I don't think I'm far away from making big scores."

Reaction after India needed just 17 balls to wrap up a comprehensive 203-run victory over England in the third Test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Wednesday (22nd August) and reduce their series deficit to 2-1.
SCRIPTING INFORMATION:
Ten minutes and 17 balls.
That's all it took for India to wrap up a big win over England on Wednesday to keep the five-match Test series alive.
In front of a smattering of spectators at Trent Bridge, India quickly took the one wicket they needed on the final day of the third Test to complete a 203-run victory.
England lead the series 2-1 with two Tests remaining.
The next match starts in Southampton on the 30th of August.
Resuming on 311-9, England needed 210 more runs to complete what would have been a world-record victory chase.
The sparse attendance at the start of play was a sign that the match was unlikely to last long and on the penultimate ball of the day's third over, James Anderson (11) could only fend off a bouncing delivery from off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane backtracked to take the catch.
England were dismissed for 317.
It was a result which seemed likely since the second day in Nottingham, when England collapsed to 161 all out in their first innings - losing all 10 wickets in one session.
There could be selection issues for England ahead of the fourth Test and captain Joe Root said Jonny Bairstow would be monitored over the next few days after the wicketkeeper fractured a bone in the middle finger of his left hand on Monday.
Bairstow batted in the second innings - he was bowled first ball - with heavy strapping around the finger.
The England captain also said he expected Alastair Cook to play at Southampton.
Cook's wife Alice is expecting the couple's third child.
