Greenpeace activists held a protest in front of Berlin's Brandenburg gate on Tuesday as the German government held the 10th Petersberg Climate Dialogue in the city.
The protest featured a large ice installation spelling out the words "Last Exit", and activist Robin Miller explained it meant that the world was running out of time.
Ministers of numerous countries are taking part in the conference where German Chancellor Angela Merkel is expected to speak on Tuesday.
Greenpeace activists are urging the German government to increase their climate actions as greenhouse gas emissions have not significantly decreased in Germany in the past ten years and the coal phase out is just at the beginning.
Fundamental changes in transport and agriculture are still pending, the activists say.
