Anti-government demonstrators gathered on Sunday night to protest the Hong Kong government's response to a new viral illness that is spreading around the world.
The protesters are opposed to government plans to house quarantined patients or medical workers in the Fanling neighbourhood.
Fanling is a district far from Hong Kong's busy business centres where the government has announced it will requisition an as yet unoccupied public housing project called the Fai Ming Estate for the possible fallout of the new coronavirus.
Hong Kong on Sunday confirmed its sixth new virus case - a 47-year-old man who had been working in Wuhan, China.
In total, there were 107 patients staying in hospital for isolation and management in Hong Kong on Sunday.
