A major fire burned close to homes at Forster in New South Wales on November 7, with residents reportedly forced to flee the inferno. Emergency warnings were in place for more than a dozen locations across the state on Friday afternoon as firefighters fought numerous out-of-control blazes. Three separate fires covering more than 7,000 hectares were still burning in and around the coastal town of Forster, the NSW Rural Fire Service said. In this video, filmed on Thursday, the fire can be seen threatening properties near a shopping centre on the town’s southern outskirts. Credit: Benny Heath via Storyful
