1. SOUNDBITE (English) Tariq Aziz, Deputy Iraqi Prime Minister:
" Anthrax exists in many many countries in the world including the United States. The US is the major producer of Anthrax, so connecting Iraq with those events is sinister and is baseless. Iraq has nothing to do with all that happened in America between the 11th of September and now."

3. SOUNDBITE: (English) Tariq Aziz, Deputy Iraqi Prime Minister:
" No decision have been ever taken and no step has ever been taken (by Iraq) since 1991 towards any other country in the Middle East. So why do they single out Iraq for that and leave Israel for instance which has a huge arsenal of nuclear, chemical, biological weapons and leave it alone? Singling out Iraq only is biased and is not just, therefore the inspectors have no place in our country."
5. SOUNDBITE (English) Tariq Aziz, Deputy Iraqi Prime Minister:
" When the Americans want to attack Iraq they will attack Iraq you see for their agenda not because Iraq not has done this or Iraq has not done that, they want to get rid of this government because it is an independent honest government. That's it."
Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister, Tariq Aziz denied Iraqi involvement in the September 11 terror attacks or the recent spate of anthrax cases in the United States.
He was reacting to accusations made by former CIA Director James Woolsey on Tuesday that he believed that it was likely that Iraq was involved and that the US will probably confront President Saddam Hussein as part of its ongoing campaign against terrorism.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that if America attacked Iraq, it would be based on their own agenda and not based on Iraq's actions.
Aziz said that anthrax existed in many countries and named the US as the largest producer of the virus.
Finally, he said that Iraq would not let UN weapons inspectors into the country, calling the policy biased when other countries in the Middle East also had weapons of mass destruction.
