"Well this is not only the 50th Grammy, it's our ninth Grammy, so we wanted to push ourselves not only to celebrate this monumental anniversary but to also make an extra special experience for all the artists. We really did go for quality over quantity this year. So rather than having tons and tons of items we want to make sure each item was special in some way. So it's worth over about 30-thousand (US) dollars this year which is very nice. It's a very respectable thank you gift. But more importantly than the value, it's I truly have a hard time picking my favourites because there are so many great things in the bag this year."

"If I had to pick three favourites although there are dozens and dozens of amazing. I would say one is from Kinerase. They are giving each artist over 700-hundred (US) dollars worth of Kinerase anti-aging and skin care and facial wash. So whether you are looking for anti-aging treatments or whether you're looking for peels, whether you are looking for a great basic wash, Kinerase has some of the best in the market and I've tried almost all of them. Another amazing product that I think especially these musicians are going to flip over is from Sonomax. It's the sound cage custom fit high fidelity ear phones where they literally are going to have fitters on sight taking moulds from the artist's ears. They never fall off your ear-type earphones. Even though I'm not a beer drinker, my third favourite item, and I know the artists are going to flip over is Heineken and Krups and actually come together to form a beer tender which is the ultimate appliance for any beer aficionado. So it's a super cool gift as well."

"Well the bottom line is that these celebrities are not being showered with 30-thousand (US) dollars-worth of free gifts at the Grammys because they need it. It's because it's a marketing and a very effective one at that, a marketing tool. So these companies are hoping to associate their product with the Fergies and Justin Timberlakes of the world and then have that appear in magazines and on news programs and that sort of thing. So it's definitely a win-win. The celebrities are getting free stuff but the companies are now able to associate their product with these celebrities."

GRAMMYS GIFT BAG
Who's entitled to a pricey swag bag and better yet, what's inside the 50th anniversary Grammy gift bag?
Distinctive Assets is part of this year's golden celebration and will be offering presenters and performers exciting gifts.
"Well this is not only the 50th Grammy, it's our ninth Grammy, so we wanted to push ourselves not only to celebrate this monumental anniversary but to also make an extra special experience for all the artists," Distinctive Assets CEO Lash Fary said.

But more importantly than the value, it's I truly have a hard time picking my favourites because there are so many great things in the bag this year," he added.
The Grammy gift lounge is open during rehearsals for a reason. Artists who are presenting or performing are obligated to rehearse prior to the day of the show.
Fary said one of the incentives the artists have when they are performing their rehearsals is receiving the fun little perk backstage. The show production uses the gift lounge and the gift bag as sort of an extra lure to get people there on time, he said.
Some of the gift-bag freebies, which will be encased inside super-sized bag sponsored by Sennheiser Electronics, include the Gibson Les Paul "Music Rising" guitar worth 599 US dollars, iPod accessories from iHome worth 199.99 US dollars, watches from Croton Watch worth 500-US dollars, gemstone cosmetics from Rituals Cosmetics worth 1-thousand US dollars, handbags from The Sak worth 199 US dollars, jeans from Anarchy Denim worth 250 US dollars and Xbox's newest game Rock Band worth 170 US Dollars.
"The bottom line is that these celebrities are not being showered with 30-thousand (US) dollars-worth of free gifts at the Grammys because they need it," Fary said.
