"I think it was a transparent (verdict) and everyone who accused the tribunal it was political, but it was not, because before he got convicted, Salim Hayyash, there were four and now he is the only convicted one, so I think it was fair and square for everyone, and we should wait for Hezbollah's move now because it's their guy that is accused so they have to give him (hand him over) as a start in order to be safe and to rebuild this country in a correct way."

A U.N.-backed tribunal on Tuesday convicted one member of the Hezbollah militant group and acquitted three others of involvement in the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
The Special Tribunal for Lebanon said Salim Ayyash was guilty as a co-conspirator of five charges linked to his involvement in the suicide truck bombing.
Hariri and 21 others were killed and 226 were wounded in a huge blast outside a seaside hotel in Beirut on Feb. 14, 2005.
However, after a years-long investigation and trial, three other Hezbollah members were acquitted of all charges that they also were involved in the killing of Hariri that sent shock waves through the Mideast.
The tribunal's judges also said there was no evidence the leadership of the Hezbollah militant group and Syria were involved in the attack.
In Beirut, Rafik Hariri's sister Bahia and Future Movement officials awaited the verdict by the late prime minister's grave. The verdict was streamed through loudspeakers.
After the verdict Bahia Hariri offered prayers in front the grave.
Future Movement official Sami Fatfat said the verdict 'was fair and square for everyone."
