17. SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Li Keqiang, Premier of State Council of China:
"China wants to enhance connectivity with Malaysia, and China is interested in participating in the construction of the double track railway project in Malaysia as well as the double rail link in Singapore. The Chinese government will also contribute 20 million Australian dollars and one search vessel for the search for the missing MH370."
The Premier of the State Council of China, Li Keqiang, was welcomed by Malaysian counterpart Najib Razak at his headquarters in Putrajaya on Monday with a guard of honour.
Li was on his first official visit to Malaysia as premier following his attendance of the two day Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit in Kuala Lumur, which wrapped up on Sunday.
The pair held a bilateral meeting, as well a joint news conference at which Li Keqiang stressed government support for Chinese companies investing in Malaysia.
He also welcomed Malaysia companies investing in China, as well as pledging 20 million Australian dollars (approx 14-million US dollars) to the search for missing Malaysian airliner MH370.
