"So all preliminary data should be able to be ready by next week. I will hope that the preliminary report will be able to reveal the preliminary study hopefully by next week."
A Malaysian official said on Thursday his country was still focused on the retrieval of any remains from the crash site of flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine.
Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein made his comment following a special meeting in Kuala Lumpur where a number of ministers, including Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai discussed the repatriation of the Malaysian dead from the tragedy.
At the news conference afterwards, Tiong Lai also said a preliminary report on the incident should be ready by next week.
Flight 17 was shot down in Eastern Ukraine on July 17, killing all 298 on board.
