"We are here to appreciate and give tribute to them (Paris attackers). They did the job for all the Muslim communities, they did our work for us. Because blasphemers against the Prophet are the enemies of all Muslims, they challenge the dignity of all Muslims. So those young men who sacrificed their lives and sent the blasphemers to the hell, we salute them all for their martyrdom."

Al-Qaida activities, Peshawar massacres, all that activities that can be declared as terroristic activities, as well as blasting bombs in church that can be declared as terroristic activity. But as our religion declares that blasphemy of any prophet, blasphemy of the Prophethood, is not accommodable in any religion not only in Islam."(sic)

A hard-line cleric in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday led a memorial service for the two brothers who attacked the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris, praising their assault.

Pir Mohammad Chishti, Provincial Chief of Pakistan Awami Tahreek and a cleric who runs a religious seminary in the city

of Peshawar, said the attacks were done on behalf of all Muslim communities.

"Those young men who sacrificed their lives and sent the blasphemers to the hell, we salute them all for their martyrdom," he said.

About 40 people attended, with some carrying banners condemning the magazine.

They chanted praise for Said and Cherif Kouachi, who massacred 12 people in the newspaper attack last week and were later killed by police.

Charlie Hebdo often lampooned organised religions, including Islam by drawing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.

Such depictions are considered blasphemous by many Muslims.
