Michelle Swallow captured a video of South Yorkshire Police officers pulling a car out of floodwaters to rescue a man who was stuck inside the vehicle in Sheffield, on November 7. The video shows two officers pushing a black car in reverse to help the driver get out of the deep water. Swallow told Storyful the man drove his car into the water hoping to get to the other side but ended up getting stuck. “He was going to climb out of the window, but instead shouted for ‘help,’” said Swallow. Local news outlets reported severe flooding in Yorkshire, which disrupted travel, and residents in high-risk flooding areas were advised to evacuate. In Derbyshire a woman was reported to have been swept away and killed in that region’s flooding. Credit: Michelle Swallow via Storyful
