US First Lady Michelle Obama met with American troops in Doha on Tuesday when she visited the Al-Udeid Air Base with comedian and late-night talk show host Conan O'Brien.

The base in Qatar hosts the forward headquarters for US Central Command, as well as aircraft involved in the military campaign targeting Islamic State group militants in Syria and Iraq.

The US First Lady spoke with soldiers stationed at the base as she prepares to deliver a speech on Wednesday as part of her "Let Girls Learn" initiative at the 2015 World Innovation Summit for Education, sponsored by the Qatar Foundation.
