4. SOUNDBITE (English) Donald Trump, US President:
"I've been told that Kim Jong Un would like to meet and it looks like they're in the final stages of working out, just a very quick meeting. Because we are at the DMZ anyway at the border, we are at the DMZ. And I look forward to say hello if that all finally works out. I guess there is always a chance that it might work out, but it sounds like the teams would like it to work out, so that's good."
US President Donald Trump said Sunday the US and North Korea are in the "final stage of working out" the surprise quick meeting between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at the demilitarized zone of the Korean border.
Trump made the remark in an expanded meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in and officials of the two countries.
Trump and Moon have since confirmed that Trump will meet Kim at the border later on Sunday.
Trump arrived in South Korea on Saturday for a two-day visit, following his trip to Osaka for the G20 Summit.
The two leaders will hold a joint news conference following the luncheon, and Trump is scheduled to visit the demilitarized zone near the border after leaving the presidential office.
