Viva Los Dodgers is a pre-game festival held at every Sunday home game for the Dodgers, and is free with a ticket to the day's game.

Pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu made an autograph signing appearance at the event on Sunday, to raise money for the survivors and the families of those who lost their lives in the April 16th Sewol ferry sinking in South Korea.

The Sewol was carrying 476 people, mostly secondary school students from Danwon High School, who were travelling from Inchen to Jeju when it capsized.

There are ongoing rescue efforts by the South Korean government, the United States Navy and civilian groups and individuals.

On Friday, Ryu pledged to make a $100,000 donation to his HJ 99 Foundation to help those affected by the ferry disaster.

The left handed South Korean pitcher established the HJ 99 Foundation, a non-profit, organized to build baseball fields for kids in Korea.
