Palestine finalised their preparations ahead of their AFC Asian Cup 2019 opener against Syria.

The 'Lions of Canaan' ranked 99 in the world, are making their second appearance at tournament following their debut in the competition in Australia in 2015.

Palestine's target will be to better their 2015 showing, when they exited the competition at the group stage in their maiden appearance.

Captain Abdelatif Bahdari believes the team has learnt from three years ago and now have more professional players and a new coaching staff.

Palestine have been drawn in Group B alongside defending champions Australia, Jordan and Syria.
