"For sure the preparation for the match will strong, the concentration will be big for the match. As everyone knows the Palestinian team is one of the teams that are close to us, the players have strong connections between them but in the end everyone will want to win the match. "I was never afraid as a player and also as a coach. I have never afraid about other the teams. You must give the confidence to your own team. I give a lot of confidence to my players, but all the respect for the other teams. I have a lot of respect for the other teams. When you are going up against other teams and you afraid, you lose always.  We try to play nice games. We try to play for chances and we go for chances and then you must always have luck about this chances coming to a goal. I will say also that tomorrow will be the same, like as we did against Australia and against Syria. For me, tomorrow will be a very big day that we can show the people that we are ready, also for the next rounds."

"I think that the rumours are typical question about the media. I never come to make rules for what we will do on the pitch. They do it for the country. And we always when we play against each other, then you have a lot of respect. Like tomorrow, that is for us also like that. You can't do it this on this way on this tournament. You must believe in yourself. That is also what we are doing with my team."

The Jordan squad continued their preparations by training at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday, ahead of their final Asian Cup group match against Palestine on Tuesday.   

Jordan have already advanced to the knockout round as Group B winners, with two victories from two.

They pulled off one of the biggest wins in Asian Cup history by beating defending champions Australia 1-0, followed by a 2-0 win over Syria.

Coach Vital Borkelmans, who dismissed a media allegation that Jordan would allow Palestine to win to aid the latter's qualification hopes, said his side are playing for their country and they have a huge belief in themselves heading into the next stage.

Palestine currently sit bottom of the group, having picked up just a single point in their 0-0 draw with Syria.
