A three-metre clock was set up at the city centre of Yekaterinburg on Monday (30th January) to begin the 500 days countdown to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Yekaterinburg celebrated the 500 days countdown to the 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup with the inauguration of a clock in the city centre.
Yekaterinburg will hold a total of four group stage games during football's most prestigious team tournament.
The clock not only shows the countdown, but also visitors can connect free WiFi to share their photos near the new landmark.
The celebration also included a flash mob where standing people formed a figure "500".
The clock is not the first one to be launched in Russia's host cities.
Moscow, Kazan and Sochi have already launched their countdown clocks.
