Parents of Danwon High school students who died when a ferry sank off South Korea's southern coast gathered at Paengmok Port in Jindo on Thursday, to condemn the South Korean government for not doing more to save their children.

The parents, who arrived in buses from Ansan, where Danwon High school is located, gathered in front of a tent being used as the government situation room.

They shouted criticisms against the South Korean government for not being able to rescue any more missing passengers than the 174 passengers who were rescued on the first day.

After a short gathering they marched up and down the port, chanting their children's names and carrying various signs written in Korean condemning the government.

They ended the march by shouting out their children's names.

Two weeks after the ferry sank off South Korea's southern coast, 219 have now been confirmed dead, according to the South Korean coast guard.
