Istanbul, May 27 (EFE/EPA) – (Camera: Erdem Sahin). With the summer season just around the corner, the traditional charcoal production resumed in Turkey. Each year, oak trees in forests north of Istanbul are chopped and systematically arranged in a circle, covered with soil and left burning for about a week. The cooling process is expected to take two days before charcoal is ready to be collected. SHOT LIST: TRADITIONAL CHARCOAL PRODUCTION OUTSIDE OF ISTANBUL, TURKEY. INCLUDES DRONE FOOTAGE.
