"Once again our condolences are with the people. May God give us patience. We have two patients who are in a critical condition at Haseki Hospital and right now they are undergoing surgery. I visited our other patients and they are under control, they are doing well."
"Right now, our chief prosecutor is conducting work in the area. Judicial proceedings are also continuing, concerning our seven martyred police and four civilian martyrs."
"These terrorist activities, these steps are being taken against those responsible for providing security. This is not forgivable, excusable. Therefore, we will continue our struggle against the terrorists until the end, fearlessly and tirelessly."
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday visited patients being treated in Haseki hospital for injuries sustained in a car bomb attack that targeted a bus carrying riot police in Istanbul.
Erdogan expressed his condolences to the victims and said that two patients were still in a critical condition.
The rush-hour assault killed 11 people and wounded 36 others, Instanbul's governor said earlier on Tuesday.
The explosion was caused by a bomb placed inside a car and was detonated as the police vehicle was passing by, according to the governor.
