Turkish police used tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannon on Tuesday as they clashed with Kurdish protesters in Istanbul.
Protesters set fire to barricades and threw stones at police officers.
Ninety-eight people were detained - and 30 people were injured, including eight police officers - during clashes in and around Istanbul on Tuesday, the Istanbul Governorship said in a news release early on Wednesday.
Turkish news agencies say that at least 14 people died on Tuesday and scores were injured in clashes across the country between Turkish police and Kurdish protesters.
The protesters are demanding that Turkey offer more help to the besieged Kurdish forces struggling to hold onto Kobani, a strategic Syrian town near the Turkish border.
