"As a result of the PKK's (Kurdistan Workers' Party) vile and treacherous attack at a police station in Cizre early this morning, 11 martyrs, police officers, lost their lives. We extend our condolences. We have many wounded who are being treated and I wish them a speedy recovery."

"This morning there was a suicide bombing carried out with an explosives-laden truck targeting the Cizre police station (simultaneous translation). We have martyrs, we had wounded. No doubt it is one of the treacherous attacks by the vile PKK terrorist organization."

"These are total lies (that Turkey is targeting Kurds in Syria) and it's not based on fact. The Free Syrian Army is there (in Syria) busy with cleaning out elements of Daesh (Arabic acronym for Islamic State group) and busy sending back other terrorist groups back to where they came from. Our soldiers are giving them logistical support."
