"That's part of the Mary Rose, that's part of the ship itself. And I dare say if we look at that, that would be a boat that this rested against and that's why it's still here. It looks like there is some more wood over there, and maybe even an arrow. Look at this here, I don't know if you can see this with your camera but that might be either an arrow from a long boat or perhaps even a small pike that soldiers would have carried as anti-boarding weapon. You never know and that's the excitement with any form of archaeology. You can't really predict what you're going to find, but any sort of small object could have become incorporated within the corrosion, as the anchor within the seabedding corroding away."
