1. Durst's attorney, Dick DeGuerin, exits courthouse
2. SOUNDBITE (English) Dick DeGuerin, Attorney for Robert Durst
"Bob Durst did not kill Susan Berman, he doesn't know who did. That having been said, my concern is that the warrant that was issued in California was issued because of a television show, and not because of facts. We're gonna get to contest that warrant here in Louisiana because of the Louisiana authorities determining to file charges against Bob here. We want to contest the basis for his arrest because I think it's not based on facts, it's based on ratings. So, we will continue to fight for Bob, we want to get to California as quickly as we can so we get into the court of law and try this case where it needs to be tried. We'll contest the facts there and we'll try to contest them here. Thank you."
A judge has scheduled a hearing next week for millionaire Robert Durst, who now faces weapons charges in addition to a murder charge.
Durst's attorney says the murder charge was based on a television show and not on actual fact.
In the finale of "The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst" that aired Sunday on HBO, the real estate heir was heard saying: "What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course."
Durst was in court Tuesday, his second appearance before a judge in as many days. He was arrested Saturday at a New Orleans hotel on the murder charge. Authorities found a revolver and nearly 150 grams of marijuana in his hotel room.
