In the West Bank town of Hebron thousands of Palestinians
celebrated the third anniversary of Yasser Arafat's call for an
independent Palestinian state.
Palestinian police paraded as crowds burned Israeli flags and
stamped over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netahyahu's photo.
In Bethlehem, hundreds of Palestinians attended the funeral of
Jimmy Kanawati, who was shot dead by Israeli soldiers on
Friday night.
Kanawati, a Christian Palestinian, held a Salvadoran passport.
