Russian judoka, Tagir Khaybulaev, was present at an event marking 100 days to the start of the 2018 World Cup in his city of Samara, Russia on Tuesday (6th March).

An event marking 100 days to the start of the 2018 World Cup was held in Samara, Russia on Tuesday.
Tagir Khaybulaev, winner of the men's 100 kilogram judo gold medal at the London Olympics in 2012, was at the event.
He led a work out session with several local children on a frozen football pitch to mark the 100 days countdown to the start of the 2018 World Cup.
"I can compare it to the New Year. We are waiting for the World Cup as if it is the New Year. A 100 days to go," said the judoka in anticipation to Russia 2018.
Khaybulaev was at the event as part of his role as World Cup ambassador for his region.
The 2018 World Cup in Russia will take place from the 14th of June to 15th of July.
