Croatia and Iceland fans were in confident mood in Rostov-on-Don ahead of their teams' World Cup Group D game on Tuesday (26th June).
SCRIPTING INFORMATION:
Croatia and Iceland fans were in high spirits as they continued the countdown to their World Cup Group D match in Rostov-on-Don on Tuesday.
Croatia only need a draw to confirm top spot in the group, having beaten Nigeria and Argentina with five goals scored and none conceded.
For Iceland, a win is vital if they are to stand any chance of progression.
The World Cup debutants currently sit third on one point alongside Argentina, and are two points behind second-placed Nigeria.
A victory for Nigeria would certainly spell the end of Iceland's campaign, but fans remained upbeat.
"Well we are of course from Iceland so we believe in miracles, so I really hope it's going to be a miracle tonight (Tuesday), but it's going to be a tough game tonight because Croatia are a very good team. So yeah, it's going to be a very difficult one", said Iceland fan Baering Thor.
For Croatia, it is just the second time they are through to the knockout phase and the other time they reached the semi-finals at France 1998.
They will aim to win the group to set up a round of 16 clash with the runners-up from Group C.
"I saw the Croatia team in the last match in Moscow. At the moment, we have one of the best players (Luka Modric), we have the game in our hands, and I think nobody is able to compete with us. This is the year of our football" said Croatia fan Mato Mrkonjic.
