2. SOUNDBITE (English) James Corden/Host, on being part of the big opening number:
"What do you do? It's beyond challenging. It's terrifying. Because there's only one chance to do it. It's completely live, you know. You're trying to do something new that you only have four days to rehearse. I don't know. We're gonna try our best to make an entire show, not just an opening, we're gonna make an entire show that is a celebration of all of the incredibly talented people that are in that room. That's what we're gonna try and do."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) James Corden/Host, on the criticism award show hosts often face:
"Look, I think everybody is completely allowed an opinion. I would say it's; I don't know, I think it's really easy to criticize, and it's really hard to have an idea. I remember thinking that when the 'Game of Thrones' finale happened, and people were up in arms that they like it. And you just want to go, 'well, you should go and write something better then. I wouldn't waste your time writing that you didn't like something, go and do something better. That's the way to do it you know. So, I hope people are receptive to it. I hope people will find joy in it. We just want to make a show that is an absolute joyous celebration of a group of people that I think should be celebrated at the minimum once a year on television."

6. SOUNDBITE (English) James Corden/Host, on the show being political:
"We're not doing a monologue, so that's the first thing to do. Yeah, we're not doing a monologue. We have no intentions of doing anything that is particularly political. But I fully support anybody that wants to."
