2. SOUNDBITE (English) Sheryl Crow, recording artist, on debuting a new song she recorded with Maren Morris and Stevie Nicks:
"I wish we had the luxury of getting everybody together, but I recorded with Stevie first and then came home and recorded with Maren. And it's been kind of great because well, the whole album is very collaborative but this particular song I feel like Maren is like our little stepchild, you know what I mean. It's like Stevie is my godmother and then we have little Maren. And she's just a fierce, a fierce artistic woman. So it feels like a really good thing."
3. SOUNDBITE (English) Kane Brown, recording artist, on his collaboration with Marshmello:
"The Marshmello one is coming out this month, I believe. I haven't announced it yet, so there you go. And we're shooting the music video pretty soon. The music video is going to be my biggest music video that I have ever been a part of. So I am excited for the whole thing. And Marshmello is, their team is really excited for it. So hopefully it does what they think it's going to do."
(Reporter: Is it more in the country vein, or is it in his vein?)
"Well, I wrote it as a country song, so the lyrics are going to be very more storytelling, but it's not going to be in the country genre, no."
4. SOUNDBITE (English) Jimmie Allen, recording artist, on why he wanted to bring his mother Angela to the awards show:
"it's special. My first carpet where I finally had … Cause I wanted to come to a few events first and kind of get the lay of the land and see what goes on and not be overwhelmed. And I was like, I want people in the world to see someone who is special to me who was one of the main reasons I am the man I am today and I am where I am. So that's my mother, and I wanted to bring her. Don't cry."
Angela Allen, mother of Jimmie Allen:
"I'll try not to."
"Don't do it. Cause if she does it it will make me do it. Like, no."
