"The new poll by the AP NRC Center for Public Affairs Research finds that 32 % of Americans approve of how Trump is handling climate change. That makes it one of his worst issues that the poll asked about. By comparison, 38 % said they approve of how he's handling immigration. 46 % said they approve of how he's handling the economy. However, he does do a little bit better on energy policy. 39 % said that he is doing a good job handling that issue."

"The poll shows that about three-quarters of Americans believe in climate change and most of those think that it's caused at least in part by human activities. There is a big partisan divide on that though, Republicans are much less likely than Democrats to think that climate change is happening and to think that it's caused at least in part by human activities."

"Americans kind of think that there is responsibility to go around on handling climate change but they are especially likely to say that both the federal government and corporations have a lot of responsibility for handling it. So about two-thirds think that each of those has quite a bit of responsibility and about half say that individual people, their state and local governments along with developing countries have that much responsibility."
