1. SOUNDBITE (English) Tom Perez, Democratic National Committee Chair:
"Well I think it was what hasn't been done, which is more important, which is, we need to see the whole report. He said more than once, the report speaks for itself. Well we haven't seen the whole report so we don't know what it speaks for. And again, reiterating that if he had found evidence that the president hadn't obstructed justice, he would have said so. But they didn't find it. And that's why we have a constitutional obligation to continue our oversight and I'm confident that under Speaker Pelosi's leadership, Democrats will do just that."

2. SOUNDBITE (English) Tom Perez, Democratic National Committee Chair:
"As someone who is a former federal prosecutor at the Justice Department, one thing I learned is that you've gotta investigate. You've gotta make sure that you leave no stone unturned as we move forward. And that's exactly what we've got to do. We had two court victories last week because they continue to stonewall, and I think we'll continue to have victories because the authority of congress to conduct oversight, I think, is very clear."
Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez says Democrats need to see Special Counsel Robert Mueller's full, unredacted report. Perez told WCVB in Boston that Congress has a constitutional obligation to conduct oversight, and that while Mueller said his report speaks for itself, since Democrats haven't seen the whole report, they can't be sure of what it says.
Mueller spoke at the Justice Department in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday. He said that charging President Donald Trump with a crime was "not an option" because of federal rules. He also used his first public remarks on the Russia investigation to emphasize that he did not exonerate the president.
