2. SOUNDBITE (English) Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House:
"There are some who think that we should ... should have been impeaching him a month ... a year-and-a-half ago. Two years. The fact is, I believe that our founders gave us guidance. They said: 'E Pluribus Unum,' From Many One. They didn't know how many we'd be or how different we'd be. But they knew we had to strive for oneness. Impeachment is one of the most divisive and dividing paths that you can take. And if you go down that path, you have to have a prospect for success. And I do think that the path of investigation and getting more information and you never know that one thing can lead for another. Impeachment is never off the table. But shouldn't you start there. I don't agree with that."

3. SOUNDBITE (English) Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House:
"It was really with a heavy heart that I said what I said because I have tried to listen, honor our Constitution, our separation of power. But to see the Attorney General of the United States withhold the facts, misrepresent the facts, indeed, lie to the Congress of the United States -- in doing so, he was lying to the American people. And why? Why? To protect not only the president, but the special interest that they are there to protect. To protect those who would degrade our environment, to both those who are preventing us from having ... making it harder for us to get gun violence protection, for those who have a special interest. So, understand the connection between his agenda, his arrogance, his misrepresentation and how it affects the lives of people. Nothing less than the air their children breathe and the water they drink. It was a very sad day for me. I don't like saying that the Attorney General of United States did what he did. It was a terrible thing that he did and I was heartbroken I have to say it."
