The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine has arrived at Northwell Health's South Shore University Hospital on Long Island Wednesday.

The delivery of the single-dose vaccine comes just days after the Food and Drug Administration approved its use against the coronavirus.

Drugmaker Merck will help produce the vaccine, a partnership between the two drug companies that President Joe Biden says likens the spirit of national cooperation during World War II.

Biden says the U.S. expects to take delivery of enough coronavirus vaccine for all adults by the end of May — two months earlier than anticipated.
