"It's as important to us as the design process, the sourcing and the making. And also, not only looking at animal cruelty but looking at the sourcing of viscose or rayon. It's trees you know. I50 million trees are cut down a year for fashion. Like, it's ridiculous. So that exploration is so inspiring and so part of the process, we take it from the a to the z in everything we do. But at the same time, you shouldn't see it on that runway. I didn't want it to be conversation that anyone... like I'm not apologizing for it. You know. And I think that it's the most modern thing in fashion that you can do."
"We develop a lot of our own fabrics now. We're at a place now where we work in collaboration with people. We worked on a viscose where it took us three years to work on it and get it to a place where it was using sustainable wood sourcing. And so that, we develop a lot, which I think it amazing. I would like to be incentivized to do so. So, I think people need to get encouraged. But what I love is that it's the conversation now that I can openly have. It was always my sort of embarrassing secret. Like 'oh no I'm trying to be sustainable as a brand.' But now it's a relevant conversation and so that I'm happy about that."
