"I remember literally to be honest, coming to America for the first time, which, obviously I'm from the UK. So, it was just mental. I just had landed and then it was on the radio. I was like, 'What?' I called my mom, I remember I called my mom and I was like, 'Mom, I'm on the radio in America.' What the hell? It was mental."

"There's the lame response, like you go into a grocery store and you hear the song, that's just, like, 'Oh, my gosh. I'm buying groceries and the song is on.' That's always like. I think. you grow going to -- whatever it is. So that's something, that's more awe-inspiring than anything. But hearing it on the radio, of course. Like Z100 was my hometown station. Hearing it on there was really special and this first song was called 'Lights Down Low' and I wrote it for my wife when I proposed to her so, that was the one that people really heard and the message of 'Love is love' is what it was all about."
