2. SOUNDBITE (English) Norah O'Donnell/News Anchor, on the state of journalism:
"I mean, it feels like journalism is more important than ever and there's a thirst for information because there's so much going on in the world. I mean, we were on the air for 10 hours straight on Wednesday when this insurrection happened at the U.S. Capitol, when this group of domestic terrorists tried to overturn the results of the election. And since then, it's been hard to keep up with the news, quite frankly."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Norah O'Donnell/News Anchor, on all the stories happening at the same time:
"Not only on the track of what's happening on Capitol Hill about whether they will impeach him. The members of the president's White House and his cabinet all resigning the national security threats that exist and at the same time reaching a number of daily deaths in the coronavirus pandemic that is new, more than four thousand deaths. I mean, that's like having a 9/11 every day for three months straight."

This year, we've tried to cover the stories that people care most about and affect their lives… And so we've covered we've essentially not only played the role of a news organization, I think we've played the role in some ways of a public health organization."
