BEY: "So I jumped out the back seat right here, and as I was jumping out one of the Jewish guys was climbing over the fence over here."
REPORTER: "So he was trying to escape, he was running for his life?"
BEY: "He was trying to escape. And this is the building right here."

BEY: "Here it was right here, the whole time, just right here the whole time."
REPORTER: "What was it like sitting in that spot?"
BEY: "I was freaking out because all we could hear was machine guns. And we're thinking like we're dead in the middle of it. I don't live here, so there's no apartment that I can run into."

"I'm traumatized by it. I'm traumatized because it was machine guns and all I was thinking was they could've sprayed through the windows, my (apartment) windows is from the front on Martin Luther King to Bidwell (street) to Bayview and in the back. So my babies is in there. So I'm just like, 'stay low, stay low.'

"One of the Jewish men from the market, he was climbing over the fence and I could see he was bleeding from his stomach area. He went, someone opened up the door at 207. And he ran in there and dashed in and ran inside, too. So it was about four of us that was inside the building as the bullets and everything were going. We didn't know where it was coming from, but he was hit."
