1. SOUNDBITE (English) Dave Haywood, Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley: recording artists, Lady Antebellum:
Haywood: "Our very first performance ever was 2006 at 3rd and Lindsley (Bar and Grill). We were just talking about that because we're trying to find ways to bring back up the beginning when we're in Vegas. But we played 'Love Don't Live Here' as our very first song at the show, I remember that. I remember Charles saying, 'You're going to hear a hell of a lot more from us.' And that was just a very telling..."
Kelley: "I was young and arrogant. I felt like we had something. I didn't know it was going to be this, but I remember I probably had too much to drink too."
Haywood: "But that was a special one. That was a special night."
Kelley: "It was special man. I knew it. When the three of us, you know, hit that stage, it was just a different feel. And it was like, 'OK, whatever this is...'"
Scott: "Let's do it."
Kelley: "Then the next step was convincing Hillary to quit college."
Scott: "They convinced me. Yeah. But stay in school, guys."
Kelley: "Stay in school unless you get a record deal. If you get a record deal, you're off the hook. But other than that, stay in school."
