The King, Queen, Princess Margaret and other members of the Royal Family were at London Airport to see Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh board the BOAC Argonaut "Atalanta" for their flight which was to start them on their journey to Australia and New Zealand. Mr Churchill was also present to offer the royal couple the best of good wishes for their tour.
