President-elect Donald Trump is renewing his Twitter complaints about the Broadway hit "Hamilton."

Early Sunday morning, Trump wrote on Twitter that the cast and producers "should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for their terrible behavior." He also said he heard the show was "highly overrated."

The vice president-elect attended the show Friday night. At the end, actor Brandon Victor Dixon challenged him from the stage, saying the cast was concerned about the Trump administration.

Trump fired off two angry messages on Twitter Saturday morning, calling for an apology. He posted another such message Saturday evening, but then deleted it.

His tweets came as his transition team was focused on vetting potential candidates for his administration.

The meetings come as Trump is starting to appoint top administration officials.

Earlier, the President-elect Donald Trump met with retired Gen. James Mattis, calling him "the real deal."

Mattis is considered a contender to lead the Pentagon. He was one of a series of people who met with Trump Saturday at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.

The meetings come as Trump told reporters outside the clubhouse on Sunday that he was getting very close on new appointments.

Among those who met with Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence on Sunday were Hollywood talent agent Ari Emmanuel. His brother, Rahm Emanuel, was President Barack Obama's chief of staff and now the mayor of Chicago. No details were given on what their meeting was about.

Peter Kirsanow, who is an attorney and member of the U.S. US Civil Rights Commission, also met with Trump and Pence. Kirsanow also served on the National Labor Relations Board during the George W. Bush administration.

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that perhaps his 'fire and fury' warning to North Korea "wasn't tough enough."

Trump issued a new warning over the North's development of nuclear weapons.

He said North Korea "better get their act together or they are going to be in trouble like few nations have ever been in trouble."

Trump addressed reporters during his vacation at his New Jersey golf club before a security briefing with top advisers.

It's the latest warning since he said earlier this week that North Korea faces "retaliation with fire and fury unlike any the world has seen before."

North Korea has said it may attack Guam in retaliation.

Trump also criticized Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for the failure to "repeal and replace" former president Barack Obama's health care law.

Trump also said he wanted to move forward with tax reform and what he called a "big" infrastructure bill.

Maybe it wasn't tough enough. They've been doing this to our country for a long time. For many years and it's about time that somebody stuck up for the people of this country and for the people of other countries, so if anything, maybe that statement wasn't tough enough and we're backed 100 percent by our military. We're backed by everybody. And we're backed by many other leaders and I noticed that many senators and others came out today very much in favour of what I said, but if anything, that statement may not be tough enough.

(REPORTER) What would be tougher than fire and fury?

(TRUMP) Well, you'll see. You'll see.

(REPORTER) Mr. President. Is one of the options being considered a pre-emptive strike against North Korea?

(TRUMP) We don't talk about that. I never do. I'm not like the other administration that would say we're going into Mosul in four months. I don't talk about it. We'll see what happens. I can tell you that what they've been doing and what they've been getting away with is a tragedy. And it can't be allowed.

(TRUMP) Sure. We'll always consider negotiations, but they've been negotiating now for 25 years. Look at Clinton. He folded on the negotiations. He was weak and ineffective. You look what happened with Bush, you looked what happened with Obama. Obama, he didn't even want to talk about it. But I talk. It's about time. Somebody has to do it. Somebody has to do it.

(REPORTER) Can you talk about your relationship with Senator McConnell?

(TRUMP) I just want him to get repeal and replace done. I've been hearing repeal and replace now for seven years, but I've only been doing this for two years and I've really only been doing this for six months that I've been running and so now it's been almost two years and all I hear is repeal and replace and then I get there and I say where's the bill? I want to sign it, first day and they don't have it. And they passed repeal and replace and they never had a president frankly or senate that was going to do it. But they never had a president so it didn't matter. So I say very simply where is repeal and replace. Now I want tax reform and tax cuts. We're going to reduce taxes for the people. We pay more tax than anybody in the world and we're going to reduce taxes so I say tax cuts, tax reform and I want a very big infrastructure bill. We're working on that very hard already and we can do that and we may even get bipartisan on infrastructure. But we want to have it. But I said Mitch get to work and let's get it done. They should have had this last one done. They lost by one vote. For a thing like that to happen is a disgrace and frankly it shouldn't have happened. That I can tell you."

President Donald Trump says that perhaps his 'fire and fury' warning to North Korea "wasn't tough enough." Trump is issuing a new warning over the North's development of nuclear weapons.

Trump says North Korea "better get their act together or they are going to be in trouble like few nations have ever been in trouble."

The president was addressing reporters during his vacation at his New Jersey golf club before a security briefing with top advisers.

It's the latest warning since he said earlier this week that North Korea faces "retaliation with fire and fury unlike any the world has seen before."

North Korea has said it may attack Guam in retaliation.

Trump also criticized Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for the failure to "repeal and replace" President Barack Obama's health care law.

The president also said he wanted to move forward with tax reform and what he called a "big" infrastructure bill.

"Hello everybody. We're having some meetings. I know you're going to be watching a couple of them. We have a lot of people here today. A lot of subjects under discussion, including Venezuela. Including, of course, North Korea and other things and I think we're making tremendous headway. We'll be spending quite a bit of time here and then we, during the weekend, as you know, toward the end we go into Manhattan. We'll have a lot of meetings scheduled in Manhattan. Any questions?

(REPORTER): Mr. President. The North Koreans said yesterday that your statement on Tuesday was nonsense. That's the word that they used. Do you have any response to that?

(TRUMP) Well. I don't think they mean that. I think they. It's the first time they've heard it. And frankly, the people that were questioning that statement, was it too tough? Maybe it wasn't tough enough. They've been doing this to our country for a long time. For many years and it's about time that somebody stuck up for the people of this country and for the people of other countries, so if anything, maybe that statement wasn't tough enough and we're backed 100 percent by our military. We're backed by everybody. And we're backed by many other leaders and I noticed that many senators and others came out today very much in favor of what I said, but if anything, that statement may not be tough enough.

(REPORTER) What would be tougher than fire and fury?

(TRUMP) Well, you'll see. You'll see.

(REPORTER) Mr. President. Is one of the options being considered a pre-emptive strike against North Korea?

(TRUMP) We don't talk about that. I never do. I'm not like the other administration that would say we're going into Mosul in four months. I don't talk about it. We'll see what happens. I can tell you that what they've been doing and what they've been getting away with is a tragedy. And it can't be allowed.

(REPORTER) Mr. President. Did you ever consider negotiations (unintelligible) difference circumstances?

(TRUMP) Sure. We'll always consider negotiations, but they've been negotiating now for 25 years. Look at Clinton. He folded on the negotiations. He was weak and ineffective. You look what happened with bush, you looked what happened with Obama. Obama, he didn't even want to talk about it. But I talk. It's about time. Somebody has to do it. Somebody has to do it.

(REPORTER) Can you talk about your relationship with Senator McConnell?

(TRUMP) I just want him to get repeal and replace done. I've been hearing repeal and replace now for seven years, but I've only been doing this for two years and I've really only been doing this for six months that I've been running and so now it's been almost two years and all I hear is repeal and replace and then I get there and I say where's the bill? I want to sign it first day and they don't have it. And they passed repeal and replace and they never had a president frankly or senate that was going to do it. But they never had a president so it didn't matter. So I say very simply where is repeal and replace. Now I want tax reform and tax cuts. We're going to reduce taxes for the people. We pay more tax than anybody in the world and we're going to reduce taxes so I say tax cuts, tax reform and I want a very big infrastructure bill. We're working on that very hard already and we can do that and we may even get bipartisan on infrastructure. But we want to have it. But I said Mitch get to work and let's get it done. They should have had this last one done. They lost by one vote. For a thing like that to happen is a disgrace and frankly it shouldn't have happened. That I can tell you."
