President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended a church service in Bedminister in New Jersey on Sunday.

The two have been working from the town to pick people to lead Trump's upcoming administration.

On Sunday morning, Trump and Pence left Trump's golf club there shortly after 10am local time (1500 GMT) and entered the nearby Lamington Presbyterian Church.

Press was not allowed inside the white chapel - Trump staff said the church had made the request.

But Trump did not say if there was a place for Christie in his administration.

Christie was one of a parade of officials visiting Trump Sunday at his Bedminster golf club.

Christie, a former candidate for president, was an early backer of Trump.

But he was recently demoted as head of Trump's transition effort.

It is now not clear how big a role Christie is now playing.

His diminished role came after two former aides were convicted in the George Washington Bridge political revenge plot.

Christie denies wrongdoing and wasn't charged in the 2013 scandal.

Christie recently said he plans to finish his term, which ends in 2018.

Peter Kirsanow, who is an attorney and member of the U.S. US Civil Rights Commission, also met with Trump and Pence. Kirsanow also served on the National Labor Relations Board during the George W. Bush administration.

Also on Sunday former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani arrived through a side door at the clubhouse. When reporters asked Trump what he planned on discussing with Giuliani, Trump smiled and replied, "Wouldn't you like to know."
