MOST EXTRAVAGANT EASTER BUNNY IN THE WORLD GOES ON SALE

Looking for a perfect Easter gift for that chocoholic in your life?

They are selling a 38cm high Easter bunny, which has been hand-carved from a block of 75 percent Tanzania-origin chocolate by award-winning chocolatier and International pastry consultant Martin Chiffers - a former chef decor of Harrods.

The bunny's eyes have added sparkle from two 1.70 carat round brilliant diamonds, which have been nestled into the chocolate, with a combined value of over GBP �25,000.

"We're now coming towards Easter and we wanted to come up with the dream Easter gift and we couldn't think of anything more unprecedented and remarkable than a beautifully carved chocolate Eater bunny enhanced by the most phenomenal 1.70 carat diamonds," says Marcel Knobil, founder of VeryFirstTo.

"I think most rabbits are probably accustomed to standard carrots but you can't imagine more impressive carats than these for what is the most extravagant Easter bunny in the world."

The chocolate bunny took two days to carve and weighs around five kilograms. That means that it contains about 584,000 calories.

And though it wasn't intended as an edible treat, the buyer may find it hard to resist.

"Every time I've been close to it, it's just smelt delicious," says Tobias Kormind, managing director of 77 Diamonds, who provided the stones.

"You just want to lean in and nibble the ear a little bit."

For those who can resist the temptation to eat it, the bunny can be displayed for two years if its temperature is regulated to around 16 degrees.

If it's purchased, a donation of GBP �1,000 will be made to The Prince's Trust charity.

77 Diamonds have offered to create a bespoke piece of jewelry for the buyer featuring the gems free of charge.

Smaller stones are available upon request, which would reduce the total cost.

Chocolate eggs and bunnies usually fly off the shelves at Easter, but this holiday treat may not move as quickly.

The Diamond Stella Egg, covered in 100 half-carat diamonds, priced at 50-thousand pounds - equivalent to 87-thousand US dollars - was unveiled on Tuesday at La Maison du Chocolat in London.

On Wednesday it was drawing in the crowds.

The egg, which stands more than two feet (60 centimetres) tall, was made at a specialty shop in Paris.

No glue or tape was used to attach the diamonds, after the shop in London received the chocolate egg from Paris, a chef melted small sections of it in order to place the diamonds around the outside according to a store spokesman.

The inside of the egg contains peach and apricot chocolate and pralines.

Duttson Diamonds, also in London, provided the jewels for the Diamond Stella Egg.

Neil Duttson, said that there had already been four enquires from prospective buyers of the egg.

The manager of the La Maison du Chocolat store Philippe Allard, said that accidentally eating a diamond from the egg would not be dangerous - except financially.

"We have been assured that it doesn''t harm your health" he said, "a little bit your wallet but not your health at all".

The egg will be kept at the store on London''s Piccadilly, until a buyer turns up with a 50-thousand pound banker''s draft.

The theme of the Chocolate Show in London this year is autumn and it's reflected in the elaborate frocks on show.

There's even a traditional Scottish highlander whose sabre and sporran are one hundred percent cacao, even the design of his tartan kilt is made of coloured chocolate.

The fashion parade at the Chocolate Show has become an annual highlight and soon it will be touring the world.

The founder and owner of the show Sylvie Douce says: "The name of the cover of the chocolate is a dress and for that reason we decided to create dresses made in chocolate."

Douce believes the French passion for chocolate and fashion go hand in glove: "It's art, you know the couture fashion is art and the chocolate maker is a job of art because they are creators together and together they can make something unique."

A big trend in the world of chocolate this year is a taste for the unusual.

Russell Pullan of 5th Dimension Chocolates has mastered the art of surprise with his mustard, lemon chutney and curry which are designed to warm you up when it's cold outside.

The curry is a new flavour this year and Pullan can't get enough of it: "It's a milk chocolate shell is this, you can see the centre of it now. I'm getting some raisons from that to start with and then you can feel the spices of the curry coming through."

At this time of year it's not unexpected to see the stands dressed with a few pumpkins, but these are not one of your five a day.

The Hill Street brothers Chris and Greg Smith are out to prove that when it comes to chocolate all is not as it seems, especially when it's Halloween.

Here it's all being washed down with a flute of chocolate flavoured champagne.

There are some interesting faces at the show this year, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and her beloved corgis sit on the same stand as Benedict Cumberbatch.

Now his fans can enjoy the Cumberbatch Bunny, it's being launched now for Easter.

The champagne is one of the new launches at the show, as is the chocolate flavoured candy floss which is the invention from Claire Smith who founded the English chocolate house "A Little Piece of Love".

At the centre is a chocolate troll, to remind you that this is the season of witches and wizards and generally unusual things.

When the English head towards the winter months, they like nothing more that to indulge in a traditional 'afternoon tea' of dainty sandwiches and delicate sweets.

Of course this is not the Mad Hatter's tea party from Alice in Wonderland, but chocolatier Paul A. Young and Ashley Wells an executive chef at the Intercontinental, have been concocting a surprise.

Young explains: "We've come together as a collaboration to create an afternoon tea that spans from now right through autumn, then there'll be a Christmas twist in there as well, but with the flavours of autumn and the textures all edible."

Even the savouries like the roast beef sandwiches feature white chocolate horseradish cream.

Salted caramel white and dark chocolate replaces the cream and jam, but the big surprise visitors will get at the Intercontinental is hidden in this box.

Blackcurrant thyme leaves, and a chocolate pod featuring cardamom ganache and cedar wood chocolate twigs.

Young says his favourite is the Bonfire cone which has real smoke flavour: "My favourite bit, or our favourite bit (pointing to Ashley Wells) is this, it's a bonfire cone and the ganache in there tastes of bonfire, it's smoky, warming, crackly and the crunchiness of the cone is like crackly wood. It's the best bit, and I'm going to taste it, it's like the smell of burning embers, crackling embers, burning leaves, it's sweet it's delicate and it's got heat at the end."

There's a new trend in place for Christmas as well. The chocolate tree is filled with presents for each of your guests.

The idea is that they all take away part of the tree and the village below when they leave.

The show is touring various parts of Europe before going to the Far East, including Korea.

SOME IDEAS FOR TREATING A FAVORED NEWBORN LIKE ROYALTY

With Prince Harry and his pregnant wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, expecting their first child in late April or early May, friends and family will be looking for that extra special baby gift to celebrate the arrival fo a new royal.

"A normal scenario will be a parent not knowing what they want to get for their kids so they literally are just like, 'I've got a six year old, I want to buy this. They're into football or they're into action hero, or action toys,' and that's how we kind of build a relationship and then kind of move on from there."

(Reporter: "If you had to give people advice on buying something for a royal baby, what kind of thing would you go for?")

"So I have always said to someone that is wanting to buy a gift for a baby, something that they can always remember. So something like a Steiff bear, where it's handmade. You can get monogramming done so it's literally their name, their date of birth, and then you can kind of remember that and kind of hold on to it for the years to come, rather than a toy where they just going to grow out of."

Like, there's always an option to play with toys so even if… let's say for example it's quiet or you want to interact with the kids, so even if it's like, for example, Easter, we can have like private tours coming in where they, we surprise and delight customers or their children. They will be like literally so engaged, where you can play with snow or you can play with the air ball, you can play with LEGO. So it's all kind of free flowing. It's a fun atmosphere."
